Agency setup

Set up your agency

What an admin configures in Settings, in a sensible order, and what Vonda sets up for you.

Before your first posting comes in, an admin fills in your agency's details, brand, payment setup and paperwork. Everything lives under Settings in the sidebar, split into five sections.

Who can do this

Only admins see Settings in the sidebar. If an agent opens a settings link directly, they see Access Denied and a Back to Dashboard button. To make someone an admin, see Manage team members.

The settings sections

SectionWhat you set there
Agency infoYour agency's name, contact details, address and license, and whether co-signers are asked for a Google review when the defendant is released. See Update your agency info and Ask co-signers for a Google review.
BrandingYour logo and the colors and fonts of your client-facing pages. See Upload your logo and Customize your client-facing theme.
DomainsYour intake address, your own domain, and the address your client emails come from. See Change your agency slug, Connect a custom domain and Set up your email sender.
PaymentsYour default premium rate, your fees, payment plans, and how co-signers pay. See Set your default premium rate, Create and manage fee rules, Set up payment plans, Write payment instructions and Connect Kurv for online payments.
DocumentsThe PDFs Vonda fills in for every bond. See Upload your document templates.

A good order to work in

  1. Agency info. These details print on your paperwork and your public pages, so fill them in first.
  2. Logo and theme. Your intake page and client emails look like your agency from day one.
  3. Premium rate and fees. New postings pick these up the moment they arrive.
  4. How co-signers pay. Either write payment instructions, or connect Kurv to take payments online. If you finance premiums, turn on payment plans too.
  5. Document templates. Upload at least one co-signer document and one facility document, and place the fields on each. Without them, a posting can't be sent for signature or to the jail.
  6. Your team. Add your agents. See Add a team member.
  7. Optional: Google reviews. Turn on Google reviews in Agency info and paste your Google review link, and every co-signer is asked for a Google review when the defendant is released. It's off until you turn it on.
  8. Optional: domains. Connect your own domain and email sender whenever you're ready. Your agency works on Vonda's address until then.

What Vonda sets up for you

Some things aren't in Settings. Contact Vonda to set them up or change them:

  • Creating your agency and its first admin.
  • Your bond number prefix: the 3 to 5 letters every one of your bond numbers starts with, such as AAABB-000123. It's chosen when your agency is created and rarely changes.
  • The facility and court lists you pick from on a posting, including how each jail receives paperwork and the PIN it uses.
  • Your Vonda billing.
